What our members say
I joined the club because I loved photography but knew nothing about how to use my camera. I’ve learned so much and have had so much fun and met such lovely people who are willing to help and I love our trips (local and further afield) It’s a fantastic club to join.
I joined the Camera club (Slieve Bloom) in 2009 on its very first night in existence. I always had a camera and loved to capture all family events. My family bought me a SLR Nikon camera so I really wanted to learn how to use it properly and get better photographs.
Tullamore Camera Club are a great group who welcomed me, they are so helpful and share their knowledge and passion for photography freely. I feel lucky and privileged to be part of this fantastic group.
Being a member of TCC for almost 10 years I have learned a lot and continue to learn and look forward to applying those skills into the future.
I often looked at the wonderful photos taken by Tullamore Camera Club members and longed to be able to do similar so when a friend suggested I should join, I did just that.
What I love about the camera club are the people in it. People who are so experienced in taking photos, who are willing to share their tips, their knowledge and their experiences. No matter when you go out on a shoot, you will always learn something new and there is always someone who is willing to explain settings, advise you on how to setup your photo and how to get the best shot.
It’s not just a camera club, the members are there to help and show you what they have learned, There is also has a social side to the Tullamore Camera Club with day trips nearly every month, the club goes to a city in Europe every 2nd year, and a trip somewhere in Ireland every year, along with a barbecue and a Christmas party. We know how to enjoy photography.
I got a gift of a very good camera and I had no idea how to use it. I joined Tullamore Camera Club, they are so friendly and welcoming. I have learned so much and everyone is so helpful. They are a lovely group.
