Tidy Tullamore is an initiative driven by Tullamore Credit Union in conjunction with Tullamore Tidy Towns. It has expanded over the years to include surrounding villages and communities. Each year Tullamore Camera Club members have been involved in photographing the end results for Tidy Tullamore on behalf of the Tullamore Credit Union.
Below are a selection of photos taken last year in 2017. Every year it has been a pleasure to photograph the different estates and business shop fronts and to see the hard work and effort that has been put in by all the volunteers. It is great to be involved in such a community based project.
To make it more interesting for Tullamore Camera Club members and to keep the focus fresh, we rotate the team members and the locations annually. We especially encourage new members to join a team as it is a great learning opportunity to see what they can do with their camera.
This year (2018) so far there are over 30 business, over 20 estates, 5 villages, 3 public roads and 2 public areas. If anyone is interested in entering this community competition, please contact Nicola at Tullamore Credit Union
Tidy Tullamore has really helped improve the appearance of the town and surrounding areas and has also help forged strong community bonds. The photographs are just a small selection of the effort that goes into this project but it is so worthwhile and well done to all involved.
